Trigger Warning: Suicide
BPD Awareness Day 2021
As a guest speaker for this event I shared about my sister’s journey with her BPD, and co-occuring diagnoses, and our family’s challenges in navigating private and public healthcare supports, such as Psychiatric Emergency, DBT, USTAT, Physiotherapy, Acupuncture, and the Family Connections Program. This greatly influenced my decision to pursue a career change in order to raise awareness for mental health, as well as to provide education and skills to those struggling and their loved ones.
